Information about the Governing Council and Executive Board

Introduction

The Governing Council of EAJS s comprised of 5 members was created in September 2007.the Governing Council super ceded the association.

The Executive Board of   EAJS comprised of 13 members, was created in September 2007. The Executive Board super ceded 35 members.See the structure diagram

The Executive Board is responsible for providing support to Governing Council and supervision of the activities of EAJS in accordance with the overall policy guidance and the responsibilities set out by the Governing council that It must be responsive to the needs of our country. The Board is under the authority of the Governing Council.

 Functions of executive council

To implement the policies formulated by Governing Council

·         To receive information from and give guidance to Governing Council to ensure that the activities and operational strategies of each program  are consistent with the overall policy guidance

·         To monitor the performance of the  program .

·         To approve programs,

·         To decide the administrative and financial plans and budgets;

·         To recommend new initiatives to the Governing Council

·         To encourage and examine new programs initiatives.

·         To submit monthly reports to the Governing Council this could include recommendations, where appropriate, for improvement of field-level coordination.

Election

The members elect the Governing Council in March each 1 years

The Governing Council elects members of the Executive Board in march each 1 years.,

Sessions

the Executive Board has held four  regular sessions per month and one annual session each year.

Pre-session informal meetings will be held three days in advance of each session in order to review the agenda and documentation for that session.  

 Reports and Documentation

Reports of Board sessions are prepared by the Executive Board Secretariat and posted on the  web site 2 weeks after each session.
